EDITH EVE CASTILLE Edith Eve Castille, 83, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Sept. 11, 2006, at Valley Baptist Medical Center- Brownsville. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Allen J. Castille Sr. and Mary Bates Castille, and by a brother, J. Allen Castille. She is survived by a sister, Helen A. Mayes of Brownsville; five nieces, JoAnn Knapp of McAllen, Texas, Jeanette Mayes Bond of Albuquerque, N.M., Debra Jacobs of Baytown, Texas, Helen P. Lerman of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Catherine M. Settle of Brownsville, Texas; and one nephew, James A. Mayes Jr. of Marrietta, Ga. Visitation will be held from 8-10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Buena Vista Burial Park. RODOLFO FARIAS Rodolfo Farias, 58, passed away Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, at Christus Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi surrounded by his loving family. Rodolfo was born on Jan. 25, 1948. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force for 20 years attaining the rank of senior master sergeant. He worked for the city of Austin as the general maintenance supervisor. He is preceded in death by his step-father, Alfredo Cortez. He is survived by his four children, daughter Gina Farias (David) Garcia and three sons, Edward Farias, Raymond Farias and Richard "Ricky" Farias. He is also survived by his mother, Sara Nieto Cortez; one sister, Nora N. (Antonio) Salinas; three grandchildren, Austin Farias, Nick Renteria and Mellisa Garcia, as well as two nephews, Tony Salinas Jr. and Mark Salinas Visitation will be held from today, Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, at 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. with recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Chapel services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Committal service will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Full military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 43 Veterans Honor Guard.
