ALICIA LAGOS BELL Alicia Lagos Bell, 74, entered into eternal rest on March 11, 2006, at Valley Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her husband Thomas Bell, daughter Jacqueline Bell and granddaughters Bianca and Mariella Rami-rez. GUADALUPE LOPEZ FRANCO Guadalupe Lopez Franco (Pita), 78, born on March 15th, 1927, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 9, 2006 in Brownsville, Texas at the Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side. She was a lifetime Brownsville resident, and spent most of her later years at Valley Grande Manor. She is preceded in death by her parents, Librado and Juliana M. Lopez; sisters Maria and Carlota Lopez; brothers Guadalupe Lopez and Librado Lopez, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Victor Franco Sr.; sons Victor Franco Jr., Arturo, Alfredo and Armando Franco from Brownsville, Texas; daughters Diana (Rene) Hernandez from Clarksville, Indiana and Hilda Franco from Brownsville, Texas; sisters, Aurora Lopez and Adelina Gonzalez from Brownsville, Texas; 19 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. Services will begin today, Monday, March 13, 2006, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 14, 2006, with a Recitation of a Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Josefa was employed with McNair for many years and with Levis Strauss for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Eusebio B. and Manuel M. Torre; two sisters, Maria M. Torres and Ventura Benavidez; two brothers, Juan E. Torres and Manuel M. Torres and her niece, Beatrice Torres. Left to cherish her memory and mourn her death is her loving family: two daughters, Alma M. Salinas and Norma J. Alvear; four grandchildren, Jenavette Alvear, Michael A. Salinas, Melanie J. Gasca and Alexis M. Salinas; one sister, Altagracia Torres; six brothers, Tom (Toni) Torres, Jose M. DIONICIO BERMUDEZ Dionicio Bermudez, 67, entered into eternal rest with his Lord and Savior at his residence in Brownsville with his loving family by his side. He was born on December 26, 1928, in Sierra Mojada Coahuila, Mexico to Florentino Bermudez and Asencion Carrillo de Ber-mudez, who preceded him in death. Three sisters, Julia Bermudez, Petra Bermudez and Viviana Bermudez and one brother, Victorino Bermudez, also preceded him in death. Left to cherish and mourn his death is his loving family: his wife Juanita Bermudez of 48 years of marriage, five children, Maria Angelica Bermudez, Asencion Guerrero (Romualdo), Martin Bermudez (Araceli), Yolanda Patricia Castillo (Ignacio) and Raul Bermudez; two brothers, Feliciano Bermudez and Pedro Bermudez; two sisters, Juana Arenibos and Alicia Gomez and eleven grandchildren and numerous other relatives also survive him. Leal, 61, entered into the Lords arms Wednesday, March 8, 2006, in Brownsville, Texas. Mr. Leal was a U.S. Army Veteran, who had retired from the U.S. Postal Service after working 33 years, and he was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mr. Leal is preceded in death by his parents, Cruz and Josefina Z. Leal. Raul is survived by his wife Beatriz M. Leal; sons Raul A. Leal and Raul M. Leal; daughter Diana L. Mendez; sisters Ninfa L. Peña and Matilde L. Sandoval; numerous grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2006 and Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. He is survived by his loving parents Reynaldo Adame and Marleny Olivarez Adame of Brownsville, paternal grand-mother Martha Noriega, and maternal grandmother Catalina Ugalde. Also surviving are numeros uncles, aunts and other relatives.
