Shown, 70, died Thursday at Brownsville Medical Center. A native of Hartford, Ky., he had been a Brownsville resident for 12 years. He was an electrical engineer for Allied Chemical for 25 years before retiring in 1968 and was on the board of directors of first Housing Authority in Plattsmouth, Neb. He was a member of Portway Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Shown of Brownsville; three daughter (sic), Mrs. Sue Zieman of Jupiter, Fla., Mrs. Gerald Warwick of Des Moines, Iowa and Miss Anna Rhea Shown of Brownsville; four sons, Dennis R. Shown of Baton Rouge, Edward R. Shown of Richmond, Va., James L. Shown of Stapleton, Neb.; a brother, Kenneth Shown of Radcliff Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Dalton Ralph of Hartford, Ky. and Mrs. Byron Campbell of Evansville, Ind., 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. There will be no local services. Services will be held at a later date in Hartford under the direction of Duke Funeral Home with interment at Carson Cemetery. Visitation were to be held today from 6 to 7 p.m. at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
