FRANK WARREN KIBBE Frank Warren Kibbe, 86, of Harlingen, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996, at his residence. He was born in Brownsville to Frank W. Kibbe Sr. and Loula Rose Kibbe. He graduated from Brownsville High School, attended Brownsville Junior College and Schriener Institute in Kerrville. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater, where he saw action in the Philippines and New Guinea. He worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a livestock inspector for 34 years and retired in 1974. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Maxine Canter Kibbe, in 1993; a brother, Irvin Kibbe of Brownsville; and a sister, Rosalis Kibbe McCrosky of Corpus Christi. He is survived by four nieces, Susan Simmons of Harlingen, Joan Priday of Ingleside, Elizabeth White of South Caroline and Nancy Kibbe Kerschenbaum of Houston. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home in Harlingen. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park with the Rev. Charles Palmer officiating. Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 205 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Lodge 2410.
