GEORGE CARREON, 24, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2006 in Brownsville, Texas. MARIO GONZALEZ Mario Gonzalez, 24, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and grandson entered into the glory of his eternal life on Sunday, March 5, 2006. A native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, Mario was born on October 22, 1981 to Mario and Martha Valles Gonzalez. He attended El Jardin Elementary, Perkins Middle School, and graduated from Rivera High School in 1999. He worked at Taco Bell and then for the BISD until his acceptance into the Border Patrol. He graduated from the Border Patrol Academy in 2003. Mario enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Left to mourn his death are: his wife of 9½ years, Lory Pereida Gonzalez; his daughter, Aleksi I. Gon-zalez; his parents, Mario and Martha Gonzalez; his brother, David Gonzalez; his paternal grandmother, Evangelina Cardenas; his maternal grandfather, Eloy Valles; his father and mother-in-law, Inez and Ruth Pereida; together with several aunts and uncles and numerous other relatives. Visitation will begin today, Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 3 p.m. and continue through 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. The U.S. Border Patrol Rio Grande Valley Sector Honor Guard will be providing honors for Border Pa-trol Agent Gonzalez. Coronado, 85, went into eternal peace on Saturday, March 4, 2006, at the Brownsville Nursing Home surrounded by his loved ones. Francisco H. Coronado was a Veteran of WWII and received a Purple Heart. He is preceded in death by his wife, Esperanza. Mr. Coronado is survived by his daughters, Eudelia Ramirez of Palmette, Fla., Norma Martinez of Oneco, Fla., Carmen Segura of Ellenton, Fla., Isabel Velez of Harlingen, Texas and Faustina Elizardo; sons, Abelardo Coronado of Homestead, Fla., Francisco Coronado Jr. of Brownsville, Texas and Gilberto Coronado of Bradenton, Fla. He is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren; his brother Fernando Coronado; sisters Modesta Rodriguez and Carolina Mayorga. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and a holy rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2006 Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. BERTHA ELLEN BIERSTEDT Bertha Ellen Bierstedt, 38, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 4, 2006 in Brownsville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell Bierstedt and Maria Emma Perales Aguilar. Mrs. Bierstedt is survived by her husband, Juan Salinas; one daughter, Angelina Aguilar; two sons, Raul Aguilar Jr. and Edward Wolfgang Aguilar; three brothers, Mauricio Bierstedt, Angel Manuel Bier-stedt and Juan Bernardo Bierstedt; two sisters, Maria Angelina Martinez and Martha Treviño. Mrs. Bier-stedt is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitations were held from 12 noon to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Guadalpe Agui-lar officiating, on Monday, March 6, 2006 at Guerra Funeral Home "Chapel of the Arch Angels". A chapel funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Guerra "Chapel of the Arch Angels".
