SONNY JOHN RUSSELL Sonny John Russell, 22, of Brownsville, died Monday at South Padre Island. Born in Can Tho, Vietnam, he had been a Brownsville resident for 13 years. Survivors from Brownsville include his wife, Heather Russell; a son, Christopher John Russell; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William J. Russell; a brother, Ronald James Russell; and a sister, Julie Russell. Also surviving are his paternal grandparents, William and Vera Russell of Cahokta, Ill.; and maternal grandmother, Biep Nguyen of Vietnam. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Buena Vista Burial Park with minister Mike Meierhofer officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd.
