    3. I will be posting extractions of several news articles and obituaries. Most do not have a newspaper name, many are undated. I am not related to many of these families. WALKER-LUNA Heather Dawn Walker became the bride of Miguel Angel Luna Jan. 3 in an evening ceremony at Portway Baptist Church. The bride is the daughter of Richard and Debora Walker of Brownsville The bridegroom is the son of Julia Garza, also of Brownsville. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a replica of an early 1900s Victorian wedding dress of ivory satin and re-embroidered lace. Her veil was made of died ivory rosebuds and ivory teardrop pearls and was designed by her mother. She carried a bouquet of two dozen roses, wax flowers and cascading Swedish ivy. The maid of honor was Crystal Faith Walker, Mary Lou Garza was the bridesmaid, and Amber Rose Walker was the junior bridesmaid. Julio Cesar Perez served as best man. Antonio Luna and Dwayne Smith were groomsmen. A reception at he Los Compadres Ballroom at VICC followed the ceremony. The bride is a 1995 graduate of Hanna High School and now attends the University of Texas at Brownsville. She is currently employed at I.B.C. Bank as a teller. The groom is a 1990 graduate of Hanna High School and served in the United States Navy. He is currently employed at Eagle Coach Corp. Following a planned honeymoon trip to South Padre Island, the couple will reside in Brownsville.
