    3. I will be posting extractions of several news articles and obituaries. Most do not have a newspaper name, many are undated. I am not related to many of these families. The Brownsville Herald, Nov. 19, 1995 CECIL ALLISON Cecil Allison, 70, of Brownsville, died Jan. 17, 1995, at his residence. Born in Sayre, Okla., he had been a longtime Brownsville resident. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy. He worked a the International Longshoreman Association for 21 years until 1964. Then he worked for Vinnell Corp. in Vietnam during the war from 1964 to 1970 and for 14 years he also worked in Saudi Arabia for Vinnell Corp. (R.A.M.C.O. and S.A.T.O.L.). He was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Smith, in 1994. [He was also preceded in death by three brothers, William B. "Bill" Allison in 1979, Lody Allison in 1977, Clarence C. Allison in 1990 and 5 sisters, Daisy Mae Mullins in 1970, Lillie Taylor in 1986, Audrey L. Parcher in 1987, Dessie C. Whitmire in 1950 and Mary C. Allison in 1901.] Survivors include a son, Robert Jody Allison of Brownsville; a daughter, Rosalie Christine Munro of La Feria; four grandchildren, Robert Jody Allison, Jr. of Brownville, Jennifer Brock of Temple, Melissa Munro of Harlingen, and Patrick Munro of La Feria and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be fro 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home Chapel, 945 Palm Blvd. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Patrick G. Trobaugh of Portway Baptist Church officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart of the Valley Hospice, P.O. Box 2026, San Benito, Texas 78586 or to the Portway Baptist Church, 2000 N. Minnesota Ave., Brownsville, Texas 78521
