    3. I will be posting extractions of several news articles and obituaries. Most do not have a newspaper name, many are undated. I am not related to many of these families. GEORGE HERMAN LOOP George Herman Loop, 84, of Brownsville, died Tuesday at Valley Grande Manor Nursing Home. Born in Grant County, Okla., he came to the Valley in 1922 and homesteaded in El Jardin area where he farmed for many years. He was a member and a deacon at Central Christian Church, served on the church board and was an active worker in the church. He also served on the board of directors of the Water District, the Farm Bureau and Cotton Gin and had been a trustee of the old El Jardin Independent School District. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Dan Loop in 1983, a son, Kenneth Herman Loop in 1959, a grandson and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include his wife, Cora I. Loop of Brownsville; two daughters, Mrs. J. B. (Elaine) Coulter of Brownsville and Mrs. Dale (Donna) Hill of Baton Rouge, La.; a brother, Irvin R. Loop of Brownsville, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home Chapel, 945 Palm Blvd. followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. with Dr. Melvin Newland officiating. Burial will be at Buena Vista Burial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, the Rev. Kenneth hill, Randall Hill, Rick Hill, Steven Loop and Mark Loop. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Lt. Joseph Coulter, John Coulter and David Hill. Friends of the family are making memorial donations to the Central Christian Church Memorial Fund.
