JOHN RENFROW John Lester Renfrow, 78, of 1415 N. Indiana Ave. died Tuesday at Valley Community Hospital. A native of Knob Noster, Mo., he had been a Brownsville resident since 1921. He was a farmer in the Brownsville-El Jardin area since 1921 and was a member of the first Baptist Church of Brownsville. He formerly served as a member of the board of directors of the Cameron County Water District No. 5. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Theoda (Billie) Renfrow of Brownsville; two sons, Roy W. Renfrow of Brownsville and Robert H. Renfrow of Friendswood; a daughter, Billie Merle Loop of La Marque; tow sisters, Mrs. Calestia R. Gobble of Brownsville and Mrs. Floretta R. Sylvester of Sequim, Wash., 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday at p.m. at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob G. Clements officiating with interment at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dean Cole, Charles Loop, Leonard Loop, Bill Crowe, Ralph Baker, James Schreiber and Bobby Mathers. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and many close friends. Friends of the family are making memorial donations to the American Cancer Society and to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
