MELINDA BERRY LESCHPER, 41, of Port Isabel, passed away Thursday Feb. 16, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 20, 2006, at The Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 1100 Port Road in Port Isabel. Cremation will follow after the Funeral services. BABY VANESSA ISABEL CUELLAR, 1, of Brownsville, went into the Lords hands on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi. FINA VIRGINIA WOOD VANCE Fina Virginia Wood Vance, passed away on February 14, 2006 in San Antonio, TX, from natural causes. She was born to the late Ora Lee Wood and Walter A. Wood on March 26, 1916. She was a long time member of The Church of the Advent Episcopal in Brownsville, TX, where she was involved with the Altar Guild and various other Church activities. She was involved in numerous civic and social clubs in Brownsville. She is preceeded in death by her husband J.B. Vance, her brother Walter T. Wood, her nephew Sonny Mikulencak and her daughter-in-law Debra Zimmerman Vance. She is survived by her son, Bobby Vance, San Antonio; her sister, Billie Mikulencak, Orlando, FL; her grandchildren, Robert James Vance, New Braunfels; Steven Michael Vance, Ramstien, Germany; Christopher Andrew Vance, San Antonio; Johnathan Wood Vance, San Antonio and Kimberlyn Nicole Vance, Brownsville. She is also survivied by her nephew, Paul (Mary) Mikulencak, Seattle, WA; her great-nieces, Jackie (Ronnie) Dogan, Thomaston, TX; Lee Shellenbarger, Alvin, TX and Cindy (Scott) Pair, Inz, TX and her great-nephews, Billy (Audie) Bourland, Rockport, TX; Paul (Lisa) Bourland and Tim (Debbie) Bourland. Services for Fina Vance will be held on Tuesday, February, 21, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Richard Aguilar will officiate the services at The Church of the Advent Episcopal, 104 West Elizabeth Street, Brownsville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorials be sent to the Episcopal Day School Scholarship Fund, in care of The Church of Advent Episcopal, 104 West Elizabeth Street, Brownsville, TX 78520.
