Visitation and a prayer service were held on Thursday. A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 10, 2006, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd. Committal service to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. BERNADINE BREAUX BUCK Bernadine Breaux Buck went to be with the Lord February 8, 2006, at Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born June 25, 1930, in Harlingen, Texas, to Helen Wilder and E. Jimmy Breaux, who preceded her in death. She married William Y. Buck Jr., May 6, 1950. Bernadine was a lifelong active member of First Baptist Church, Brownsville, taking great joy in her Sunday School class and her memory of Scripture. She belonged to the same Bunco Club more than 40 years and enjoyed playing with her friends. She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Buck; daughters Nancy and husband Bob Ostos of Laguna Vista, Texas, Janet and husband Lt. Commander Michael Weinert USCG of Beaumont, Texas, son, William Y. Buck III of Cottonwood Shores, Texas, brother and sister-in-law, Charles William and Janine Breaux of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Kenneth William (Suzy) Ostos, William Y. (Izza) Buck IV, Ashley Buck, Zachary Buck, Shannon Ostos, and R. Lee (Jayme) Ostos. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the second floor PCU Unit at Valley Regional Medical Center, for the care, kindness and compassion they gave Bernadine during her illness. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. today, Friday, February 10, 2006, at First Baptist Church, 1600 Boca Chica Blvd., Brownsville, Texas. Funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Ebony Grove Cemetery, Mercedes, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth W. Ostos, William Y. Buck IV, Joseph Stenglein, Robert Wells, Ronald Heine and David Heine. SOCORRO GONZALEZ HERNANDEZ Socorro Gonzalez Hernandez, 84, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on February 8, 2006 in Brownsville. Socorro was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Salazar; her sister, Andrea Abete; and by a great-granddaughter, Ciara Rose Espindola. She is survived by her two sons, Manuel (Isabel) Salazar and Pablo (Patsy) Salazar; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today, Friday, February 10, 2006 in the chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2005, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral with burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
