The Brownsville Herald - Online Edition OBITUARIES Obituaries, February 7, 2006 FLORINDA RIOS Florinda Rios, 102, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006 at her home residence in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Simon Rios; a son Teofilo Rios; brothers, Ignacio Carmona, and Encarnacion Carmona; and a daughter-in-law Phyllis Rios. Mrs. Rios is survived by her loving sons, Antonio (Irma), Isidro, Ernesto (Patricia), Salvador (Olga), Guadalupe (Guadalupe), Benito (Janie), Juan (Gracie) Rios; and a daughter-in-law, Margarita. Among the survivors are brothers, Guadalupe and Leonardo Carmona; a sister, Elena Carmona; 25 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and three great great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. She was a devoted Catholic and member of Guadalupanas for numerous years. Serving as pallbearers are Wally Jr. Rios, Juan Carlos Rios, Joseph Rios, Xavier Rios, Ernesto Rios and Everado Rios.
