The Brownsville Herald - Online Edition Obituary May 5, 2006 TEODORO GARCIA BENAVIDES Teodoro Garcia Benavides, 72, passed into God's hands on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at his residence. He was born on December 12, 1933 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He was a resident of Brownsville for 35 years. Teodoro worked at Sam's Stadium for the Brownsville I.S.D. before retirement. His loving wife, Maria Calletana Benavides with whom he would have reached 50 years of holy matrimony in August, survives him. He is also survived by his children, Elsa B. (Pedro) Villarreal, Mario (Alma) Benavides, Benito (Fely) Benavides, Federico (Diana) Benavides, Pablo (Nancy) Benavides, Brenda B. (Jose) Savariego, and Luis Benavides; four sisters, Angelita, Catarina, Celia, and Conchita Benavides; one brother, Manuel Benavides; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. There will be no local services. Visitations with a holy rosary will be held at Funerarias Escobedo in Matamoros. Local arrangements are under the direction of Delta Funeral Directors, 1300 E.
