He was born September 28, 1917 in Beeville, Texas. His parents were Francisco Balli and Cipriana Lara. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Ygnacio and Diego Balli. Mr. Balli is survived by his wife, Amalia G. Balli; children, Javier (Gerri) Balli of California, Olga B. Medrano, Sonia B. Gutierrez, Irene (Mateo) Silva, and Conrado (Sandy) Balli. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitations will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, May 4, 2006 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Sanchez, 64, a native of Monte Morelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and a longtime resident of Brownsville, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, May 3, 2006. He is preceded in death by his parents, Aristeo Sanchez Sr. and Maria de Jesus Rodriguez; a brother, Ignacio Sanchez; and a sister, Esthela Salinas. Mr. Sanchez was a former wrestler in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico for 20 years. He is survived by his wife Juana Sanchez; a son, Eden (Nereida) Sanchez; daughters, Sulia (Gilberto Jr.) Garza and Janie (Roel) Sanchez; six grandchildren; sisters, Esperanza Cardenas, Consuelo Fuentes, Guadalupe Rocha and Ofelia Morales. After a courageous six month battle with cancer, Ramiro Rios Sr., 57, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at his residence in Brownsville, Texas. For many years he was employed as a chef in the Brownsville area and in the Dallas, Texas area. Mr. Rios is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Rios and Lucia Bermudez Rios; wife, Maria Rios and three brothers, Raul, Rufino and Juan Rios. He is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth Rios and Lucia Rios; four sisters, Leonila Garcia, Angie Quintanilla, Paula Barnes (Charles) and Zelaida Lopez (Tomas); two brothers, Guadalupe Rios (Anita) and Modesto Rios (Socorro). JULIETA RAGA MONCHOLI WOOD Julieta Raga Moncholi Wood left this earth to join our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 2, 2006. Julieta was born in Tampa, Florida on June 20, 1916. Her mother, Adele Botet Moncholi (Valencia, Spain), her father Francisco Raga (Barcelona, Spain), and her husband, Ray Wesley Wood, preceded her in death. She graduated from the conservatory of Spain and traveled extensively. She served in the Brownsville Women's Auxiliary and supported the American Heart Association for many years. After calling Brownsville home for 30 years, she moved to Weslaco to live with her only child, Patricia Wood Muñoz and her son-in-law, Jessey Muñoz. Her legacy will continue through her three grandchildren, Jennifer Marie, Julissa Nicole and Jonathan J. Andrew Muñoz and great-grandson, Joshua Muñoz Lake. There will be emptiness in lives of those she touched. She left a wonderful example of faith, charity and unconditional love. Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, May 4, 2006 at McCaleb Funeral Home Chapel in Weslaco. Officiating the service will be Bishop Richard Deen of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
