CARLOS YADA, 82, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Valley Regional Medical Center. A chapel service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2006, at the funeral home. Committal service will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Funeral services are under Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd., (956) 541-5400. GILBERT A. FLORES Gilbert A. Flores, Sr. 53, entered into eternal rest, to be with the Lord on July 29, 2006, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville. He was born in Brownsville on May 10, 1953, to Eleanor Hamby Flores and Basilio A. Flores. Betin attended Brownsville public schools, Texas Southmost College, and earned his G.E.D specializing in furniture assembly. He worked for Lack's Furniture Store for a many years. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Pedro and Faustina A. Flores; his maternal grandparents, Nor-man C. and Maria M. Hamby; seven uncles, one aunt and five cousins. Surviving his loss are his parents; his children, Paul David Flores (Leah), Norma Linda Flores, Angela Morales, Veronica Leal and Gilbert A. Flores; his siblings, Norma E. Zamarripa (Juan), Johnny B. Flores (Berta), Eleannor F. Flacon (Eduardo) and Michael M. Flores (Melissa); 13 grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other relatives. Betin was a loving and caring person who loved sports. He enjoyed softball, basketball, football, and loved to go fishing. He will greatly be missed by all. We would like to to thank Drs. Karcoutly, N. Hussain, E. Kofman and L.R Pelly; and the Valley Baptist Medical Center staff at MICCU and 3rd floor for all the care given to our son, father, grandfather, and brother. God bless you all. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. today, July 29, 2006, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Mass of the Ressurection will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2006, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Committal serv-ice will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Pallbearers will be Johnny B.
