MISS BERTHA DILIA GONZALES, 74, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, at Sun-shine Haven in Olmito. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Darling-Mouser Fu-neral Home, 945 Palm Blvd., (956) 546-7111. ELWOOD LEE PETERSON, 63, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville. There will be no local services. Services and burial will be held in Champion, Ohio under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of War-ren, Ohio 1-800-433-7186. Local arrangements were entrusted to Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd., 546-7111. ALBERTA ESTRADA, 74, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, at her residence. She was a native of Las Canoas, Mu-nicipio de Cardenas, SLP, Mexico and had been a Brownsville resident for many years. Services will be held under Garza Memorial Funeral Home, 1025 E. Jackson St., (956) 542-5511. ZULEMA G. GONZALEZ Zulema G. Gonzalez, 84, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest at Brownsville Good Samaritan Nursing Home on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006. She was born in Rancho El Gomeño, Matamoros, Tamaulipas Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesus Gonzalez; two granddaughters, Teresita Saldana and Mary Melissa Salazar; and two brothers, Emiliano Garza and Federico Garza Jr. Survivors include her children, Maria del Carmen (Albert) Zepeda, Maria Concepcion (Jesus) Saldaña, Reynaldo (Margarita) Gonzalez, Irma Imelda (Ruben) Saldaña and Ana Maria (Ocie Michael) Endsley, all of Brownsville. Also surviving are 11 grandchil-dren, Sandra Salazar of Austin, Norma (Gustavo) Almanza of Laredo, Jesus (Irma H.) Saldaña Jr. of Laredo, Jaime Saldaña of Brownsville, Isela (Roy) Poy of San Antonio, Reynaldo (Dolores) Gonzalez Jr., Luis Carlos Gonzalez, Armando De Anda, Ruben Saldaña Jr., Ocie Michael Endsley Jr. and Kimberly Endsley, all of Brownsville. Four great-grandchildren survive her as well, Clarissa Mei Poy of San Antonio and Ryan Isaiah Saldaña, Lindsey Victoria Saldaña and Kathleen Saldaña all of Laredo. Her brother that survives her is Daniel Garza of Brownsville. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, in the Darling-Mouser Funeral Home Chapel, 945 Palm Blvd. Mass of resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jesus Saldaña Jr., Jaime Saldaña, Reynaldo Gonzalez, Jr., Luis Carlos Gonzalez, Armando De Anda, Ruben Saldaña, Jr. and Ocie Michale Endsley, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Sandra Salazar, Norma Almanza, Isela Poy and Kimberly Endsley. LAURA VILLARREAL Laura Villarreal, 39, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006 at Valley Regional Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her father, Luciano Villarreal Sr. She is survived by her sons, Chris and Eric Anthony Villarreal; her mother, Maria G. Villarreal; her sisters and brothers, Lydia V. Soto (Nieves Jose), Leticia B. Gonzales, Leo Villarreal (Dalia) of Fort Worth, Luciano Villarreal Jr., and Luci Sanchez (Roel); nieces and nephews, Christina and Trey Aycock, Erica B. Gonzales, Amy L. and Malachi Gonzales, Monica Cole, Joe Daniel Cole, Steven and Jennifer Villarreal, Edward James and Cal Ramos, Melissa and Lionel Villarreal, and Leo Ross Villarreal; and numerous aunts and uncles. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Chapel service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Committal service will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
