Sosa born Dec. 16, 1902, in Matamoros, Tamps, went to meet the Lord on Aug. 19, 2006, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 103. She was preceded in death by her husband, Serafin R. Sosa; two sons, Serafin Sosa Jr. and Edmundo Sosa; and a daughter, Yolanda S. Vera. She is survived by one son, Alfredo Sosa of Brownsville; three daughters, Elva S. Clark, Ana Maria Sosa and Amelia C. Sosa of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous grandchildren. CARLOTA RAMIREZ Carlota Ramirez, 74, passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Kelington, Texas, on March 23, 1932. Carlota was a wonderful woman and loving mother. Her son was the love of her life, her pride and joy. Ms. Ramirez is preceded in death by her parents, Victoria Villarreal Ramirez and Apolinar Ramirez; her sisters, Juanita R. Herrera and Josefina R. Alaniz; brothers, Valeriano Ramirez and Jesus Ramirez. She is survived by her son, Jaime Gonzales; sisters Esperanza Ramirez, Elida Garcia (+Ramon) and Maria Cuevas (+Guadalupe); a brother, Natalio Ramirez (Aurora); and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006. Visitations will resume on Thursday, August 24, 2006, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Mass of a Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Garden.
