She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan T. and Genoveva Carrejo; sisters Oralia Rivera, Nerieda Cavazos and Yolanda Car-rejo. She is survived by her daughters, Elsa S. Rodriguez, Emma S. Benavidez and Lourdes (John) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Barbara Benavidez, Jessica Ramirez, Lizette Ramirez, Claudia Rodriguez and Rene Rodriguez Jr., all of Brownsville, Melissa (Rick) A. Tamayo of Harlingen and Amanda Ramirez of Grand Prairie, Texas; great-grandchildren Brandon Solis, Ricardo Tamayo Jr. and Lauren Tamayo; sisters Lydia Tamayo of Brownsville, Maria del Refugio Melendez of Brownsville and Graciela Carrejo of Califor-nia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
