Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at Our Lady Star of Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel. Trice, 82, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Jan. 27, 2006 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. She was born on July 1, 1923, to Paul and Sibyl Lackey Janes, in Commerce, Texas. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She was an educator for 28 years in Mission, Port Isabel, and Los Fresnos, and retired in 1982. She was formerly employed in Retail Sales with Becky's Place on South Padre Island. She was a member of Business and Professional Women of Port Isabel. She was involved in various needlework organizations. Her favorite hobbies were shopping, needlework, and coffee breaks. She is preceded in death by her husband, T.P. "Jake" Trice; parents Paul C. and Sibyl Janes of Houston; friends Fernando and Nena Vigil of Port Isabel, Charles and Charlene Broadwater of Bella Vista, Ark., Ester Cavazos of Harlingen, and Coach Roy Garcia of San Benito; and her loving dog, Taffy Girl, of Port Isabel. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006 at First Baptist Church, 300 E. Ocean Blvd., in Los Fresnos, 78566 with Pastor Robert Cepeda officiating. Hodges, 83, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday Jan. 29, 2006. She was born on March 28, 1922, to Rafael Gonzalez and Celestina Molina Gonzalez. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Celestina Gonzales; her brothers, Gonzalo M. Gonzalez, Sr. and Jose Gonzalez; her nephews, Gonzalito Gonzalez, Jr., Jose Luis Gonzalez; her sister-in-law, Josefina M. Gonzalez. She is survived by her daughters, Sofia Ramos Rodriguez (Manuel), Veronica Kaye Hodges Owen (Dean); her sister, Rafaela G. Rodriguez (Guadalupe); her brothers, Eliseo M. Gonzalez (Leonor), Gilberto M. Odilon Gracia Sr., "El Guerrillero", 75 years old, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville. He was a lifetime resident of Brownsville and a member of San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church in Cameron Park. Mr. Gracia was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Marcelino Gracia & Benigna Garza de Gracia. Left to cherish his memory is his loving family who will dearly miss him and will never forget him. His wife of 43 years of marriage, Josefina Gracia; his children, Ondina Lara, Briseida Mendoza, Brenda Gracia Rodriguez, Zelda Medrano, Dolores Gracia, Odilon Gracia, Jr. and Miguel Angel Gracia; 2 brothers, Falcon Gracia and Reynaldo Gracia; and 1 sister, Zulema Cantu; 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Visitations were held on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 and will continue from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Monday Jan. 30, 2006, with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. at Guerra Funeral Home "Chapel of Arch Angels." A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006 at San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church with father Mike Seifert officiating with the time pending. ANDRE LIONEL FERRARI Andre Lionel Ferrari, 79, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at his home in Brownsville. He was a retired shrimper. He was born March 8, 1926, in Chatillon D' Azergues, France. He served in the French Foreign Legion from 1945 to 1950. He became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1956. He was a Life Member of Brownsville Elks Lodge No. 1032, having served as Lodge Trustee for several years. He was preceded in death by his father in 1948, and his mother in 2001. Mr. Ferrari is survived by his wife of 56 years Odette Ferrari; his sister, Cecile Lesur; nephew, Bernard Lesur of Louisiana; his children, Mireille Hatchell (Lee) of Zephyrhills, FL, Philipe Ferrari of Corpus Christi, Remy Ferrari (Cristina), of Brownsville, and Nadine Ferrari of San Antonio. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Wesley, Aimee and Stacie Hatchell of Florida, Wendy Griffey of San Antonio, Melanie and Andre Ferrari of Devine, JeanCarlo and Paloma Ferrari of San Antonio; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, 2006 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
