RIVERA, 70, of Brownsville entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 8, 2006, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. with a chapel service at 3 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, followed by interment at Buena Vista Burial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Treviño Funeral Home, 1355 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, (956)542-2583. JEROME "J.B."TRIMBLE Jerome "J.B." Trimble passed away June 29, 2006, in Plano, Texas. J.B. was born April 15, 1917, in Orlando, Florida, to Fred and Rena Trimble. He graduated from high school in Brownsville, Texas, and attended Texas A&M. On October 18, 1947, J.B. married Lucille Elizabeth Holt in Washington, D.C. He is a past Worshipful Master of the Rio Grande Masonic Lodge No. 81 in Brownsville, Texas, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of First United Methodist Church of Plano. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Leonard B. Trimble and sisters Gladys Abbott and Ethel Adams. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucille Elizabeth Trimble; daughter Deborah Ann Moss and husband Jim and their children Eric and Shelley; son Rick Trimble and wife Debbie; daughter Betty Jo Carden and husband James and their children Pamela and Jimmy. All who knew him could appreciate his work ethic. We learned so much from him and the examples he set. Not only did he show us the intrinsic value of a job well done but how to have fun and enjoy life. We will forever cherish our memories of him as a loving husband, caring father and a fine man. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church of Plano, 3160 E. Spring Creek Parkway, and will be officiated by the Rev. Cisneros, 83, born September 9, 1922, passed away peacefully July 1, 2006, in San Antonio, Texas. Preceded in death by father Antonio, and mother Maria de Jesus Cisneros. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Maria de la Luz, and children Olga Reinhart, Linda Cisneros, Yvonne Broussard and Nestor Cisneros of San Antonio, Texas, and sons Alfred Jr. and Henry Cisneros of Houston, Texas. Survived by grandchildren, Diana, Matthew and David Reinhart, Dominick and Sara Broussard and Michael Fritz Cisneros of Austin, Texas, and many loving nephews and nieces. Alfredo was preceded in death by brothers Gregorio, Antonio, Enrique, Ernesto and Raul, and is survived by brother Carlos Cisneros of Brownsville, Texas. Alfredo attended the Immaculate Conception School, and graduated from Brownsville High School in 1941. He graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a specialty in electronics. A pioneer in radio and television in South Texas, Mr. Cisneros was the owner of Cisneros TV & Appliance and Rio Grande Moving. A private family mass was held at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral with internment at Rose Lawn Cemetery. RAY STANLEY WILHELM, OMI 1932 - 2006 Father Ray Stanley Wilhelm, 74, died suddenly in Midland, Texas, on July 5, 2006. The son of Raymond M. Wilhelm and Alma (Dreier) Wilhelm, Father Ray was born on February 3, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from St. Mary's Parochial School, he attended St. Anthony's Junior Seminary in San Antonio. He entered St. Peter's Novitiate in Mission, Texas, in 1951, where he professed First Vows on May 31, 1952. His philosophy and theology studies were pursued at DeMazenod Scholasticate (now Oblate School of Theology) in San Antonio. It was there that he professed Perpetual Vows on May 31, 1955. Upon completion of his theology courses, he was ordained a priest by Archbishop Robert E. Lucey at St. Mary's Church, San Antonio, Texas, on June 1, 1958. Father Ray received his first assignment in 1959 as a professor at DeMazenod Scholasticate. In the spring of 1960, he went to Catholic University in Washington, D.C., for graduate studies; and in November of 1960, attended the Gregorian University in Rome and obtained a degree in Canon Law in June of 1962. He returned to DeMazenod Scholasticate - Oblate College of the Southwest - in San Antonio as treasurer and professor in September 1962. He later served as associate director in the college level seminary formation program at St. Edward's University, Austin, Texas. His many ministries included: parochial vicar in the following Texas parishes; Immaculate Heart of Mary, Harlingen; Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Brownsville; St. Patrick's, Houston; and, as pastor, in St. Ignatius, Ranchito; Sacred Heart, McAllen; St. John the Baptist, San Juan; and, St. Ann, Colorado City. He also served as associate director of Nuestra Señora de San Juan del Valle Shrine, San Juan; and parochial vicar, St. Louis of France Cathedral, New Orleans, LA. In June of 2000, he was assigned and remained until his death, as parochial vicar at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Shrine, Midland, Texas. He also served as a local Oblate Superior in several Texas Districts. In his ministry in the field of canon law, Father Ray served as an official of the Matrimonial Tribunal of the dioceses of Brownsville, San Antonio, San Angelo and most recently as Defender of the Bond for the Texas Appellate Court in San Antonio. Father Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alma Wilhelm; his uncles, J.P. Wilhelm, Edwin Wilhelm, E.V. Tumlinson; and his aunt, Maggie Schlein. He is survived by his sister, Mary Oswald; and brother-in-law, Louis Oswald of Houston, Texas; his three nephews, Brent A. Oswald, of Houston, Kelly V. and Stacey Oswald of Houston, Louis A. and Crystal Oswald of Littleton, Colo. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2006, and a Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic in Midland, Texas. A vigil service will also be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2006 and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2006, at the Immaculate Conception Chapel on the grounds of Oblate School of Theology, San Antonio, Texas. St. Marys' St., San Antonio, Texas, 78215, (210) 227-1461 LOUIS LONGORIA FLORES Louis Longoria Flores, 81, of Brownsville, Texas went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Flores was born in Meyersville, Texas on February 10, 1925, and raised in Cuero, Texas. He served his country with the US Army during World War II in the 101st Infantry (Marksmen Rifle and Infantry Combat Badge) as a Corporal. He was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge (Rhineland, Germany) and awarded the Purple Heart, WW II Victory Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. He was the founder of the Warriors Nest and the Ram's Nest hamburger stands. He was preceded in death by his parents; Leondro and Elvira Flores; his wife, Adelina "Dela" Flores; his son, Rudolph "Rudy" Sanchez Sr.; and three sisters, Catlida Vasquez, Celidina Basquez and Ofelia Garcia. Left to cherish his memory are: his daughter, Gloria (Miguel) Rodriguez; his daughter-in-law, Margarita Sanchez; his grandchildren: Daniel, Gabriel, and Victoria Rodriguez, Rudolph "Rudy" Jr. (Norma), Luis (Mary) and Samuel "Sam" (Maritza) Sanchez, Adelita "Sister" (George) Garcia, Nina (David) Thomas, Xavier (Aseneth) Sanchez, Racheal (David) Johnson, and Charmiane (Robert) Garza, all from Brownsville. His great-grandchildren: Stacy Lara, Maria Hinojosa, Henry, & Errikka Sanchez, Isabelle and Gabriela Calles, Becky, Olivia, Luis, Jr., and Clarisse Sanchez, Olgita Castro, Melinda, Adam, Daniela and Ana Sanchez, Xavier II and Xiara Sanchez, Marta, Adelina and George Lee Garcia, Timothy Donovan, Nicholas and Elisha Thomas, Asha, Isaiah, Elizabeth and Razi Johnson, Melodi Sanchez and Robert Garza. In addition, he is survived by 13 great-great-grandchildren, his brother, Henry Flores, from Cuero, Texas, and his sister, Ernestina Gutierrez from Edna, Texas. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today, Sunday, July 9, 2006, with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home. Father Jerry Frank will officiate at the Mass of Resurrection at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Military rites will be conducted at graveside by American Legion Post 43 Veterans Honor Guard. Honored to be serving as Mr. Flores' pallbearers are: George Garcia, George Lee Garcia, Robert Garza, David Johnson, Daniel M Rodriguez, Miguel Rodriguez, Luis Sanchez and Xavier Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Sanchez and David Thomas. JEAN BRADY FOX Jean Brady Fox, mother and grandmother, born August 27, 1923, personally met Jesus Christ on July 7, 2006, at the age of 82. Her daughter, Susan, Brownsville; and son David (Julie), Austin; and granddaughter Susan Jean survive her. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse; parents, Edward F. and Gladys S. Brady; brothers Edward F. Brady Jr. and Tommy Brady. She is also survived by a cousin, Ann (Buster) Stevenson, Brownsville, and several nieces and nephews. Jean's first love was Jesus Christ, and she did all things to serve him. She was a devout Christian and a member of First Christian Church in San Benito for 72 years. Jean married Jesse Fox, the star quarterback for the 1941 San Benito Greyhounds district champion football team and a longtime businessman in San Benito. Jean graduated from San Benito High School in 1940 and attended Stephens College, Columbia, Missouri, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1945 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She worked at the family-owned San Benito Theater Company with theaters in San Benito, La Feria and Brownsville and also assisted her husband in their many retail and rental businesses. In 1964, Jean returned to school at Pan American University, Edinburg, to earn a teaching certificate. This would afford her the opportunity to begin her primary passion: teaching. Jean taught in the San Benito CISD for 20 years including La Encantada and Fred Booth Elementary Schools. Upon her retirement from public school teaching in 1984, Jean pursued her other teaching interests, Weight Watchers, volunteer reading teacher at a private school, library work, painting, needlepoint, silk ribbon embroidery, etc. Teaching was Jean's life, and she was never without a story or topic to teach about. Her love of history, especially family history, antiques, glass bottles, needlework tools and textiles, travel, documentary television viewing, kept her mind active until the end. One of her greatest joys was teaching and learning from other people. Jean was a member of Chapter CW PEO Sisterhood, the Rio Grande Valley Embroidery Guild and the Rio Grande Valley Quilt Guild. Visitation will be held today, July 9, 2006, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Henry Thomae Funeral Home in San Benito with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.. Church services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2006 at the First Christian Church in San Benito. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Pieter Ameel, Sam P. Boswell, Sr., Sam P. Boswell Jr., Gayle Brogdon, Pete Claudio and John Rush. Special thanks to Dr. Luis Reynoso (Nurse Doris) and the staff at Valley Diagnostic Clinic, United Home Health Services, and Odyssey Hospice. Caregivers Isabel Charles, Veronica Tapia, and Margie Weaver spent many hours with Jean. She welcomed them in her life and spent many hours teaching them as well. The family is especially grateful for all their help. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Laborers in Fields of Education, P.O.
