ELLIE KIRBY Ellie Kirby, 82, passed away on June 30, 2006 in Wichita Falls, Texas. The family will be at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home for visitation today, July 2, 2006, from 6-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rowlett, Texas with Pastor Jason McConnell officiating. Burial will be in Mills Cemetery in Rowlett, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home and Rest Haven Funeral Home. Ellie was born August 19, 1923, to Charles and Merle (Man) Morgan in Dallas, Texas. She married Milton J. Kirby, Sr. on September 1, 1983, in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Ellie was very loving toward her family but she had a special love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ellie was an expert bridge player, and she loved to travel. She enjoyed sports and was an avid Texas Longhorns Fan. Ellie was preceded in death by two brothers, William and John Morgan, and by a sister, Louisa Belle Mehaffey. She is survived by her husband Milton J. Kirby Sr. of Wichita Falls, Texas; three children, Billy Settles of Victoria, Texas, Merle Hughes of Wharton, Texas, and Robby Settles of Santa Clarita, Calif.; a brother, W.B. Morgan of Houston, Texas; a stepson, Milton J. Kirby Jr. of Wichita Falls, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Angel and Virginia Olguin Piña, and her brother, Miguelito Piña. She is survived by her children, Samuel Orosco (Rosa), Emma Deleon (Efrain), Virginia Orosco, Miguel Angel Orosco (Cristina) and Lupita Orosco Soria (Manuel); nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her sisters, Felipa Perez, Juana Piña, Hortencia Piña, Olga Piña, Angel Piña Jr., Carmen Castro, Maria Isabel Mendez, Oralia Gutierrez and Consuelo Sanchez; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held today, Sunday, July 2, 2006, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. A chapel service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 3, 2006, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Committal service will follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
