Services entrusted to the care of Thomae-Garza Funeral Directors (956) 399-1331. ISABEL CERDA, 36, of Port Isabel passed away July 1, 2006 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville. Prayer Services will be at 7 p.m. today, July 5, 2006, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Chapel Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. RAMIRO LONGORIA, 79, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest July 4, 2006, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen. Funeral arrangements are pending and have been entrusted to Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd., (956) 546-7111. LIDIA HERNANDEZ, 76, passed away at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by her family. Lidia will be transferred to Ramirez Funeral Home, dates and times will be announced by Delta Funeral Directors, 1300 East Harrison St. (956) 542-2222. ASCENSION ALVAREZ-DELGADO Ascension Alvarez-Delgado, 86, was called to be with the Lord on Monday morning, July 3, 2006, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville, after a long battle with medical complications. He was a lifetime carpenter who worked for Southeastern Texas Ice Co. He also participated in a variety of construction projects such as; the Queen Isabella Causeway, Porter High School, and various apartment and condominium complexes in Brownsville. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Emilia C. Alvarez; his children, Regina Alvarez, Humberto Alvarez, Hilda A. (Raul) Hernandez, Ildefonso (Natalia) Alvarez, and Pete (Mary) Alvarez; together with 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be today, July 5, 2006, at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home at 9 a.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006, at Darling-Mouser with committal services following at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Honored to be serving as Mr. Alvarez's pallbearers are Humberto Alvarez, Ildefonso Alvarez, Pete Alvarez, Noe Alvarez, Danny Alvarez and Ruben Alvarez.
