The only listing I could find for Hinton in the Rio Hondo/Harlingen area is: Hinton, Gerald & Jean 9101 W Business 83 Harlingen, TX 78552-2088 (956) 423-5740 The following 2 obits contain the surname Hinton: they are the only things containing Hinton that came up on a search at the Brownsville Herald. Maybe they will help. Oct/17 Obituaries DORIS T. CALDERONI #Doris T. Calderoni, 88, of Brownsville, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997, in Missouri City, Texas. She was born in Temple, Texas, to William Hinton and Mary Jane Casey Thompson. In 1931, she married Dr. Charles F. Calderoni, who preceded her in death in 1981. Survivors include two daughters, Doris McLaughlin of Missouri City and Jeanine Ransome of Brownsville; two brothers, W. H. Thompson of Galveston and N.C. Thompson of Belton; five grandchildren, William and Mary Leigh McLaughlin both of Missour City, Charles and Kathryn Ransome both of Houston and Michael Ransome of Scottsdale, Ariz., and a great-grandchild of Houston. Funeral services will beld Saturday at 10 a.m. at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home East Chapel, 945 Palm Blvd. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Pallbearers will be Charles Ransome, Michael Ransome, William McLaughlin, Tommy Graham and Dr. Ross Lewis. Aug/14 Obituaries DIXIE L. EDWARDS Dixie L. Edwards, 91, died at her residence in Brownsville on Aug. 12, 1995. A native of Karnes City, Texas, Edwards lived here most of her life. She was a member of the Texas Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.S. and Lena Pickett; her husband, Mark Edwards; three brothers, William, John, and Guy Pickett; and three sisters, Helen Pickett, Elizabeth Wunderlich, and Minnie Mitchel. Edwards is survived by a daughter, Louise K. Deluca of Huntsville, Ala.; two granddaughters, Shirley (John) Hinton; of Huntsville, Ala., and Virginia Barlow of Houston; one grandson, Charles (Dorothy) Deluca, of Louisville, Ky.; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services are Tuesday at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Karnes City with Rev. John Waak officiating.
