All that Neva's children have told me is that Neva did go and visit her birthmother there in Harlingen at the address contained in my first inquiry. Neva died at 63 years old in 1999, so it would have had to be before 1999. And if Neva was born in 1936 and assuming her birthmother was in her teens, then I would put Helen in her late seventies or early eighties at that time. Let me check with one of the sons and pull some more information out of them. I would really appreciate any help that you can give me and the family. Thank you so much, Linda DeWitt Hughey

    3. I am researching my Perez family from Cameron County. My great-grandmother was Maria Santos Perez born in 1838 in Matamoros, Tamps., MX but moved to Brownsville, TX. Her parents were Juan Perez & Refugio Villarreal (my great-great grandparents). Maria Santos Perez married Rafael Villarreal approx. 1860 but I do not know if this was in Brownsville or Matamoros. They had several children and some were born in Brownsville & others in Matamoros. One of their children was my grandmother, Eulalia Villarreal who married Julian Trevino. 2. I am looking for a man who was born in TN , family history states he left for TX and married an Hispanic Woman who was buried on the Rio Grande probably early 1900s his death also in the 1920 range. He may have gone by an alias due to trouble in Ark. and TN. Family history states he did very well with much land , believe her family had money. He would have been born around 1854 and at one time had been a Deputy Marshal in Ark. If any of this sounds familiar to any one researching their family where a white man and Hispanic were married please let me know. One thing that would have stood out would have possibly been his light blue eyes. P.Pittman
