Hi Charlotte, Thanks for replying to my message. Silas and Mary are indeed the parents of Emma, The family is in the Haywood Co., Tenn. Census of 1860, and 1870. I havent found them in 1880, but my Gr-Grandfather Bennett S. was in either Angelina, or Trinity Co., Tx in 1900 and 1910. After 1910 Bennett returned to Witchita Falls, leaving my Gr- Grandmother Arbie to re-marry. Silas and Mary are in a nicely kept cemetary just South of Baird. The Callahan Co. folks can give you a map. The Headstones are in very good shape, and clearly marked. There is also a document in the Callahan Co. records that has all the family signing to dissolve Silas's estate, and establish a trust for Mary. Also, Mary's Obit was in a local paper there, (maybe 1914, I can't recall exactly, but I have a copy) The folks in the Courthouse basement have a real nice History Center and are willing to help.
