They had a daughter Mary Katherine Black b. 9 Jul 1856 in Shelby, ? Callahan County, Texas, USA. There seems to be some confusion about John "Pickens" Black as I understand there are two in Abbeville, South Carolina which is where he was born. One went to Texas which is the one I am querying on. However, I also show that he died in 1857 in Logansport, Iowa. There is a Pickens Black who md Ellen Johnson in 1866 in Abbeville, South Carolina -obviously can't be the same one or else dates are wrong. If anyone can clear up any of this information, I would appreciate it. This is a collateral line for me so I only have Latimer files available to share.
