I just typed in James Gibson Smith to see what would come up and came across this. James Gibson was my great-great grandfather. His son James Elza is my great-grandfather and my grandfather's name is Hercial Hansford Smith or "Buck" as he was referred to. My father was Arthur Paul Smith and he passed away March of 2008. "Dandy Jim" was James Gibson Smith. Smith family still resides on the some of the original property in Oakalla. I live in Lampasas at the moment I have done lots of research on the land in Oakalla, we are having legal issues with the current land owner that owns the property that we go through to get to the Cemetery.
