Moses is listed in the Rev War Pension of Charles Smith of SC to Cherokee Co Ga. Moses lived next door to his brother my GGG Grandfather Thomas Harrison Smith (b 1826) until both died of old age. My line has participated in the Smith DNA Project and would like to know if any in the Riley Smith line who died in Burnet Co TX have participated? Riley had daughters: Catherine, Mary and Adeline and so did Moses Jr.Moses had no sons but Riley had a son George W. who died in 1929 Murray Co OK. Possibly a male of this line has participated. If you have any information on the Riley B. Smith line will you share. I will be happy to compare notes. Information obtained from an obituary of John Scott published in The Methodist Protestant (church newspaper) dated 1907 In 1851 Brother Smith moved to Llano County, Texas and he was the first Methodist Protestant to move to this part of the state. He was killed by Indians on February 7, 1868. He was the husband of Aury Smith and the father of Catherine (Smith) Scott and many more children.
