Robertson is an alternate spelling for Robason - it seems there was some sort of disagreement in the family about that leading to alternate use of Roberson, Robertson, and the original Robason that appears in early North Carolina history. James Elbert Robason was my Great Grandfather. My granddad, Elbert Earl was Jesse Oscar's younger brother (born 1900). More information is all on FamilySearch.org.
