T. Standefuss of Smithwick, Burnet Co, Tx, to J. B. Laws about S. L. Green having a daughter according to J. C. Rollins. J. B. Laws was a founder of the church that Lawson Green attended and J. C. Rollins was John Calvin Rollins, older brother of Rhoda, the mother of Lawson's child. The letter mentioned Lawson doing some preaching in the church. It was probably a Disciples of Christ or Church of Christ. Does anyone know if either denomination has a church in Smithwick from 1884?
