Though the Sanford surname doesn't ring a bell, at least in the context of this conversation, the Wadkin name does and the Lafayette Wadkin especially. I don't know from where yet, but I do remember some vague connection of a Lafayette Wadkin in some of my Hibler research. My grandmother, Anne Alice Hibler Norred (daughter of Felix) saved a lot of pictures and letters, perhaps it might be there. My brother has our copy of the Hibler book and I sent him an email with the facts of this conversation and we shall see if there is mention in Novella's book. I also carbon copied the information in the same email to my cousin who is in possession of my grandmothers letters. So now comes the old waiting game we all know so well Sherron, but I will post back with any progress of interest. More to follow.
