    3. Here is a Watkins - Hibler connection that I have in my records. We start out with David Watkins. Old Dave was born in Washington Co., Arkansas, in 1820. He was the son of Isaac Watkins of Virginia. Dave was married to Mrs. Mary Manervia (Clark) Sexton on November 9, 1864 in Williamson Co., Texas. Mary M. had been first married to James Robert Sexton, Sr. on June 22, l858, in Lampasas Co. James and Mary had two children that lived to adulthood. These children were Zelphia Jane Sexton and James Robert Sexton, Jr. James Robert Sexton, Sr. died during the Civil War and was buried somewhere in Lousiana. His death date was reported to be October 4, 1863. It is not known if he was killed in battle or died of some disease. Stick with me a little longer here! James Robert Sexton, Jr. was later married to Louvica Ann Loving in San Saba Co. Their first two children were Mary Louella Mildred Sexton and Annie Pearl Sexton. Both of these daughters married into the Hibler family. Mary Louella married Hunter Felix Hibler and Annie Pearl married Benjamin Warden Hibler. Benjamin and Hunter were brothers and were sons of Felix Augustus Hibler and Lucy Culton Warden. (Do not be confused by listings of other wives for James R. Sexton, Jr. He was married 4 times, possibly 5). David Watkins died in Burnet Co. on July 28, 1904, and is buried in the Oatmeal Cemetery. Mary Manervia (Clark) Sexton-Watkins died in Dripping Springs, Hays Co., on Feb. 8, 1931, and is buried in the Pursley Cemetery, Hays Co., Tex. This is about all I have on this connection. I hope it helps. (I did not find a Joseph Watkins/Wadkins). Keith Reed Arlington, Tx.
