See if you can find out if there is newspaper microfilm available. You may be able to order it and read it at your own library. Burnet as well should be searched for this as a resident's death would have been reported. Where exactly in Burnet County did this family live? How did you learn of this? Is it family oral history or did it make any publications? Do you know the murderer's name? Was he arrested? Counties had records of such things so you might learn something at the Court House about this. Although this is very early history for this region.
