Though I wasn't familiar with the practice of giving tokens such as yours, she was, and knew of your organization. She apparently has a couple of tokens from the old days in Burnet. The oral history was a fortuitous find! I bet it is really interesting. I helped a smidgen with a couple of WWII oral histories spearheaded by Joann... the oral histories are treasures. I don't mind sharing quotes from my little "story" but if you do use any and have any edits, please let me approve the edits first. Your article will really be interesting with all the research and great source material you've found. Can't wait to read it.
