We live in OK and made preparations to repair the stone....When we arrived at the grave to make repairs, we were so pleased to discover that "somebody" had done an excellent job of repairing the stone. I had no idea who it was. The only connection I have had with the Brooks/Low side of the family was with Sallie Holt, Helotes, TX. I have not been able to contact her for years. Thanks again. The strange thing about your photo is that the middle section has been removed. Three adults and a section of the middle of the house is removed. Beginning at left is John Fry, Jeff Bolt, Carl Bolt, Pearl Bolt (Ollie Fry Bolt, who was holding baby Ruby Bolt, Will Fry, and Bob Fox were removed from your copy of the photo), Lizzie holding Gladys Fox, in front of her, Grace Bolt next to (Grandmother) Elnora Malone Fry, behind her is Georgia Fry Heine, to her right and going down are Paul, Tom, Jess Fry, to the R is Grandpa George Fry and Lloyd Fry. Behind fence is Charles Bolt. Samuel and Charles Bolt married Fry girls. I have the complete photo. I guess the reason the middle was taken out of yours is that it was torn down the middle across Ollie Fry Bolt's face. It has been repaired and is now complete. The photo was taken in 1901 based on Ruby's birth year. The photo and names were provided by Carl Jefferson Bolt's daughter Valrea. Hi JoAnn, The only firefighter I recognize is Winnie Zimmerman (Winifred Lee Zimmerman, 1916-1969, son of Matt & Emma Bodenhamer-Zimmerman). The only picture I have seen of him is the one you've posted on the Burnet County site: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txburnet/ZimmermanWWII.html He was born in Naruna and is buried in the Post Mountain Cemetery. Winnie's uncle was Oscar B. Zimmerman, who served as Burnet County Sheriff, County Judge and School Superintendent. Its great that you are putting the original firemen online. Looking forward to seeing the results! I do voluntary lookups and began in an effort to assist Shirley Drake Sanders. She is suspending research and I "hate" incomplete actions. Are you able to research the ancestry of Texana Ellen Drake? Casby/Casber/Casbeer is one surname associated with Texana. I believe she was the daughter of Barnett Isenhour and Mary Ann Pointer. Barnett died early and Mary Ann remarried to Squire Blevins (1860 Johnson-Not Stated-Image 24). In 1880 Llano-Precinct 2-District 99-Image 25, find J. W. Drake(30), Texanna(24), Mary(9), James(5), Wm(2), and Mack(11/12). On the preceding image, find the Blevins-Texana's step-siblings. What's your opinion?
