I just checked my files, but I can't seem to find my info at the moment. But by what I had, I determined that Hugh Brevard King was probably not connected to me. I think Hugh Brevard had lived in Lauderdale Co., Alabama at one time before migrating to Texas. My King line wa in Lauderdale Co. about the same time and I was just trying to make a connection because of that. It is difficult for me to really find anything out, as I don't know the name of my King ancestor that migrated to Lauderdale Co., but it could have been James M. King who is in the 1840 Lauderdale Co., AL. census--no proof at all--his household in 1840 closely matches the household of my 3rd great grandmother Catherine King in 1850 Lauderdale Co., AL. Census. Her maiden name is unknown and her husband is unknown. Whether this James M. King is her husband or not, I just don't know. I was just trying to find out if there was a James M. King born 1790-1800 NC in Hugh Brevard King's lines (direct or indirect)anywhere. Thanks for responding. Judy Sanders
