This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Moseley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EhB.2ACE/1110.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I haven't found any Moseley's buried in that area. There are Moseley buried in Oaklawn Cemetery at Somerville, which is not in the Brazos Bottom area...the names are Festus Moseley, 1900-1981 and Hermiene Moseley, 1897-1986. There were Moseley's in the Brazos Bottom as they ran a ferry over the Brazos River which connects Brazos and Burleson Counties. There is a Moseley Cemetery, near the Brazos Bottom area of Burleson County. It is also known as the Draper Cemetery. None of the readable tombstones in this very small cemetery are for Moseley. Of course, there could have been some at one time. There are several Moseley's buried in the Booneville Cemetery in Brazos County, though Boonville is not in the area of the Brazos Bottom, either. There are also several Mosely buried in that county in various cemeteries. There are a couple of obits for Moseley in my book, "Caldwell Newspapers, Obits & Births, 1897-1929." Is your question pertaining to a white Moseley family or Negro Moseley family? I have to check other sources if it is Negro.
