John and Lizzy (White) Carter. Married n Burleson Cty Dec. 29, 1867. John Carter b. (around) 1842 in Kentucky and Lizzie White b. 1850 in Alabama. Lizzie White's parents born in Virginia. Children to this union were; Nancy b.1863, Robert b. ~1865, Milton b.~1868, Henry b. Aug 1870, Earline b.1872, Oscar b.1876, Peter b. Aug 1877, Annie b. 1880 and Florence b.Aug 1885. Nancy, Robert, Peter, Annie, and Florence were all classified as Mulatto in the 1880 & 1890 census. Henry, Earline and Oscar were classified as Black.
