However, for what its worth, William H. (Bill) Jenkins was the brother of Jessie (T.) Jenkins. Jessie is buried in the Brazos Bottom Baptist Church Cemetery at Tunis TX (civil war vet). William's wife, Mollie R. (Mary) (Goodwin) Lipscomb had a child, Joseph G. Lipscomb (d.2-24-1860 d. 8-16-1898), who is also buried in this BBBC cemetery (father - R. A. Lipscomb). William and Jessie had a brother Alpheus (Al) G. Jenkins. The Jenkins boys came to Texas with their grandfather, Herndon Green, and mother, Susan A. Green, of Franklin County, Tennessee in 1855 (widowed in Tennessee 1848, deceased husband James N. Jenkins). William H. Jenkins lived a long and successful life in Burleson County. There is more on him in the History of Texas Together with a biographical History: Milam, Williamson, Bastrop, Travis, Lee and Burleson Counties, p. 572 or Burleson County Historical Society, Astride the Old San Antonio Road, pg. 50.
