Singleton married in 1885 in Milam County and then moved to Burleson County where James was buried in 1950 and Susan in 1936 or 1937. My grandfather Jim Dave Bankston was born there in 1893 and married Serena Ella Price and move to Mason, Texas where they both died. I can find nothing on either Susan or Serena and my mother doesn't know anything about her mother's family. Since I live in Canada it is hard to do any "physical" searching and so far have found only one mention of my grandmother and they had her name wrong (Rennie). James's brother Thomas married Sissie Singleton, possibly Susan's sister??

A Reuben is listed as owning land in Jackson Co, FL 1819-1821 and Thomas and William also owned land there at the same time. Terry

However, an article disclosing the information listed James H. Reed as having been shot in Texas, and on his death bed 06 Aug. 1874 admitted to having been the leader of the gang that robbed the Iron Mountian train at Gads Hill in Wayne Co., Missouri, thus absolving the Jesse James gang. Any information reguarding James H. Reed would be greatly appreciated, he was supposed to be in the Somerville area.
