Apparently, by the comment in the letter that I have SOMETHING was very wrong in her life. She had so many things happen to her in her short lifetime. According to ancestry.com she is enumerated in: Year: 1900; Census Place: Brownwood, Brown, Texas; Roll: T623 1615; Page: 7B; Enumeration District: 4. And it appears that she is household 142 144 I also did some more checking on George B. Savage. He is found in Brownwood with his family in the 1900 census, his father was Hiram. And in 1901: Grantee: George B. Savage Patentee: George B. Savage Patent Date: 25 Feb 1901 Acres: 160 District: Milam County: Stephens File: 1335 Survey/Blk/Tsp: NE 1/4 66 Patent #: 524 Patent Volume: 2 Class: Blind Asy. What does Blind Asy. mean? It is VERY possible that this might be referring to my Kate. She had her eye kicked out by a horse when she was younger.
