Sarah Charlotte "Lottie" Mallow was the daughter of Lewis Clark Mallow and Dorcas Fitzhugh. Her half brother Elmer Ashley Mallow married Amanda Jane Bowden daughter of Rev. John Wesley Bowden. Her half sister Eula Etta Mallow married William James Bowden, son of William Sebastian Bowden. Sarah Charlotte Mallow had a brother John, and a sister Ellen Elizabeth who married Thomas Caldwell Yantis.
