S. Guinn, an old citizen of Brown county, who lived in the Cedar Point community, died Monday morning in the 80th year of his age. Deceased settled in Brown county in the ?0's and his life here was an embodiment of all those estimable traits of character that make the good and useful citizen. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the honors of this order were conferred at his burial, which occurred Tuesday at Cedar Point cemetery. Note: The G. S. Guinn is really J. S. Guinn. A misspelling on the obit. James S. Gwin b. 3/5/1830 d. 12/14/1908 Any information regarding James would be appreciated.

    3. Sorry for barging in on your thread (being unrelated), but did you notice that you have TWO discrepancies here, not just one. G.S. may be J.S., but the obit said he was 80 and your birth and death dates suggest that he was 78. Could there have been a G.S. and a J.S. ?
