Bowden, 53, of Abilene will be at 2 p.m.Tuesday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home. The Rev. R. J. Elkins will officiate, and burial will follow in Heflin Cemetery. Mr. Bowden died at 11 p.m. Sunday in Hendrick Memorial Hospital in Abilene after a sudden illness. Born Aug. 25,1925 in Owens, Brown co. he married Olie Rainey Feb. 1979 in Abilene. He was a former Brownwood resident and had lived in Abilene for the last 12 years. He was a service station operator and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Willie Bowden and David Bowden, both of Abilene: two daughters, Janell Bowden and Candy Louise Bowden, both of Abilene, three sisters, Mrs. Earl May, Mrs. Abe Nelson and Mrs. Emma Doss, all of Brownwood, and nine stepchildren.
