Dear Michael Thomas: If you are kin to the two Gabbert sisters, Rebecca Jane, and Mary Sharlotte, that married two of the Jones brothers, William Harvey Jones, and James Columbus "Uncle Jim"Jones. Then you and I are very much kin. My great Aunt Flossie Jane Jones Thomas Boyd, lived in and around the May, Holder communities for most of her life. She was in her 90's when she died in 1998. She was a daughter of William Harvey Jones. She married Otis Dewey Thomas; sometime after his death, she married George Boyd. Are you related to the Otis Dewey Thomas that Flossie married? The Wheeler family I am mentioning is John Henry Wheeler. He married Ethel Virgie Wheeler. Ethel Wheeler is the daughter of James Columbus Jones and Mary Sharlotte Gabbert Jones. I am also kin to Melvina Gabbert Palmer, who was a half sister to Rebecca Jane Gabbert Jones and Mary Sharlotte Gabbert Jones. Bertha Gabbert Tabor, who married Isaac Shipman Tabor, and to Eleanor Gabbert Stamper, who was married to John Stamper. I am collecting family information on these families. I have quite a lot on the Gabbert's, including Nelson Gabbert, father of the daughters mentioned above and also quite a bit on the Jones family. Thanks in advance for your reply. Sincerely, Jean -----Original Message----- From: Michael Thomas <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Thursday, October 19, 2000 9:40 PM Subject: [TXBROWN] Wheelers in Pleasant Valley Cemetery >Posted on: Brown County Queries >Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Tx/Brown/671 > >Surname: Thomas, Smith, Jones, Gammon, Gabbert >------------------------- > >I am from Holder in Brown, Co. and am related to a majority of the folks >in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
