Willie was born January 8, 1937 in Brownwood, TX, the son of Clyde and Velma Bien. He died March 7, 2005 in Bandon at the age of 68. He was reared and educated in Texas until the age of 16 when he moved to California. He worked in California as a pipefitter for 46 years until retiring 2 years ago, moving to Bandon. He was a member of the Pipefitter’s Union Local #364. He also enjoyed ocean fishing and restoring hot rods. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie; son Bill and Renee Bien; son Gary Bien; daughter Beverly Gunn; brothers Harvey and Bobbie; Glen; Ody and Peggy; grandchildren Eric and Siena Bien, Matt and Shasta Bien, Kelly & Heath Babcock and Jennifer; great-grandchildren Katelyn, Alyssa and Rebecca. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Calvin and Carl, and sisters Margie and Claudine. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Amling Schroeder Funeral Service, Bandon, Oregon. NOTE: Submitter is not related in any way to deceased.
