Everett Yeilding officiating. Burial will be at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Pittman, a homemaker, died at 9:19p.m. Friday at Brownwood Regional Hospital. Born March 18, 1918 in Blanket, she married R.V. Pittman May 3, 1934 in Scranton. She lived all her life in Brown Co. and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Pittman was a member of the Brownwood Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 116, and was the Extension Homemakers Outstanding Clubwoman of the Year in 1975. She helped organize the Clio School Reunion in 1980, and was a Sunday School teacher at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Wayne of May, Randy of Brownwood and Jerry and Rick both of Owens; one brother, Marvin Shafer of Brownwood: three sisters: Mrs. Adell (Ethelene) Newsom of Fort Worth, Mrs. John (Gyrlee)Turner of Big Spring and Mrs. Gerald (Billie) Thomas of Brownwood: 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.
