Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the First Methodist Church, May, with the Rev.W.B.Morton, Rev.C.C.Shultz,and Rev.J.R.Forrester officiating. Burial will be in the May Cemetery. Mr. Prentice was born June 16,1871 Campbell,Tenn. He came to Brown,County in 1904 and had lived here since that time, except for a few years as a real estate man at Fort Worth during the "20's. He was formerly in the jewerly business in Brownwood. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Ada Prentice, a daugther, Mrs James O.Cade,Lubbock: three sons, Ralph E. Prentice of San Francisco, Commander Max G.Prentice, who is somewhere in the Pacific with the U.S.Navy, and Noble W.Prentice, Austin, and three grandchildren. A son, Melvin J. died in 1926. Mr. Prentice was a member of the Methodist Church. Davis-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Note James Jefferson Prentice was the son of Daniel Wesley Prentice and Mary (Molly) Nowlin
