Brownwood, Brown Co., Tx. Brownwood Bulletin, April 25, 1999 Raymond L. Boyd Services for Raymond L. Boyd, 77, of the Holder Community in Brown County, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 26, 1999, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Green officiating. The family will recieve friends from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Boyd died at 6:48 a.m. Saturday , April 24, 1999, at his home. He was born January 24, 1922, at May and was a lifetime resident of the Holder community. He was a retired Brown County Commissioner, serving in that office for 20 years. He was a rancher and a graduate of Brownwood High School, where he was a outstanding track athlete who broke several state records. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was married to Geraldine Fuller Boyd in Brownwood in June 1979. Survivors include his wife Geraldine of Holder: one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Billy V. Stewart of May: one brother, Thurman of Early: two granddaughters and their husbands, Tammy and Mike Barr of May and Vannessa and John Gordon or Lubbock; two great-grandchildren, Beale Madison gordon of Lubbock and Jonathan Barr of May; two step-children, Marcus and his wife Rose Daunis of May and Don and his wife Sherri Daunis of Waco; and his step-grandchildren, Matthew and Joseph Daunis of may and Catherine and Zachery Daunis of Waco. Thought I would pass this on to all you Boyd family researchers. Don't know why I saved it, I didn't know the man, maybe because he was a commissioner and I put it in my city scrapbook. I usually save my newspapers for two or three months at a time so if anyone out there would like me to check for an obituary just let me know. Be glad to help any way I can. Patsy
Does anybody have any information on Barbara and Billy V. Stewart? I have a Bill Stewart in my line who still lives "out by the lake"--is that near May? I've been unable to contact him so far. Any help would be appreciated! Kim -----Original Message----- Brownwood, Brown Co., Tx. Brownwood Bulletin, April 25, 1999 Raymond L.
